Taste Puglia at the Tasting bar

The Honey Tasting Experience introduces guests to a selection of local honeys, each produced from different flowers in the surrounding landscape. During the tasting you will explore varieties such as wildflower honey, orange blossom honey, and coriander honey, discovering how each floral source creates its own colour, aroma, and flavour. The honeys are served with taralli or fresh bread, allowing guests to experience how the flavours develop when paired with simple local accompaniments. The experience is relaxed and conversational, offering time to taste the different honeys, learn a little about local beekeeping traditions, and enjoy the gardens. Honey tastings take place during the 5pm, 6pm, and 7pm Tasting Bar sittings, and garden entrance is included with the experience.

The Estate Olive Oil Tasting introduces guests to the flavours of Puglian extra virgin olive oil. The tasting includes small-batch organic olive oil from Masseria Petrarolo, alongside two additional oils from local producers, allowing guests to compare different styles and flavour profiles from the region. The oils are tasted with fresh bread, the traditional way to appreciate their aroma, texture, and flavour. Guests can also try a selection of chilli-infused olive oils of varying strengths, a popular southern Italian condiment. The experience is relaxed and informal, offering time to taste the oils, learn a little about olive cultivation and pressing, and enjoy the gardens. Olive oil tastings take place during the 5pm, 6pm, and 7pm Tasting Bar sittings, and garden entrance is included with the experience.

The Estate Wine Tasting introduces guests to a small selection of Puglian wines, including Masseria Pistola estate wine alongside one or two wines from local producers in the Valle d’Itria and surrounding area. The tasting offers the opportunity to explore different styles of regional wine while learning a little about the grape varieties and winemaking traditions of this part of Puglia. Wines are served with taralli, the traditional Puglian savoury biscuit, allowing guests to enjoy the tasting in the relaxed style of a local aperitivo. The experience is informal and social, offering time to taste the wines, enjoy the gardens, and experience the flavours of the region.
